Special Visitors

I had some very special visitors earlier this month. Grandma & Aunt Lauren came to Hawaii and we had so much fun together. Here are a few pictures from their visit. I'll be posting more in the weeks to come.  For Mother's Day, we went to the beach. 

We had a BBQ cookout and Uncle Dainan and Auntie Romney came too. 

We saw a turtle and I had the most fun because I played and played and played until I was so tired that I fell asleep.

all by himself for Mother's Day dessert. Pretty good for a man who's never baked a day in his life. I'm impressed. Good job, Dad. This was Mom's best Mother's Day ever (ok really it's her only Mother's Day ever but still- nice job.)

Planting a garden

Mom decided that it would be a good idea to plant a small garden. I was happy to help and in fact love helping Mom work on her projects. This is how I helped Mom plant the garden. I was doing exactly what she was. Well almost exactly what she was doing. I needed a few snacks to keep my energy up. 

Sorry the post is so short. We'll let you know if we can actually get our peas, lettuce, peppers and basil to grow or not. 

Lei Day

May Day is Lei Day in Hawai'i.  Mom and I attended the Lei Day Festival and had lots of fun. We listened to steel guitars (although I wanted to get out of my stroller more than anything else).

We saw lots of beautiful lei and Mom was contemplating getting me a lei. I would have eaten it so she opted for a single flower instead which I immediately began dissecting. A girl has to explore, right?

I had a great time and was totally worn out from the day and took a nap. I think Mom enjoyed that most of all.  

Graduation & getting older

We attended graduation for one of Daddy's friends. I have to say that all I did during the whole thing was run around the stadium. It's my favorite activity since I can walk now. 

Also I'm getting older, pretty soon I'll be one. These are the latest portraits that Mama took so you can see how big I'm getting. Watch out world!

I know this is blurry but Mom said that it's her favorite face on me. 

My turn now

My friend Yumi came over yesterday and we had so much fun playing with toys and in the baby pool. Remember that video that is posted on here with Yumi pushing me?  Well it was my turn to push her. I'm not just kinda walking now. I'm for real walking.

Easter time is the time for eggs,

and the time for eggs is Easter time (or at least that's what Mom keeps saying).   Here are some pictures from my first Easter egg hunt. This was the Primary Children's Activity for our previous church congregation. The under 5 crowd had a separate area for gathering their eggs. Good thing or I would have been squished. My friend Yumi was there and we had such a good time going along and picking up eggs. I loved it and Mom loved eating the candy inside. Funny Mom.

I scream for ice cream

Mom and Dad gave me my first taste of ice cream and boy did I love it. It wasn't just your regular ordinary ice cream either. It was Dole Plantation pineapple ice cream. I love, love, loved it. Then we walked around and saw some baby pineapples. They were little just like me. 


I'm going to try to get Mom to take some pictures of our Easter festivities tomorrow since she hasn't been very good about posting pictures. Happy Easter everyone.
