Family Pictures

This post will be very short since we are preparing to leave for Korea on Sunday. (or I still have a million things left to do and better get my tail in gear instead of posting to the blog.) Don't worry- we'll have posts from Korea. That way you can keep up with us while we're gone. Just a few quick pictures this week of us after church one Sunday. We couldn't get all three of us together for a real family picture but this is better than nothing.

Such cute shoes, right?

Mommy's favorite picture

Random shot- Hana and her friend, Yumi (8 months). They make quite the pair when you put them together.

100 Days

Hana is dead to the world kind of asleep right now, so I'll hurry and post this before she wakes up. At the end of August (yes I know it's a bit late), Hana turned 100 days old. This is a huge celebration in Korea with lots of food and family. The reason behind it is that years ago many children didn't make it past 100 days old. If they did, then a big party was held. We actually forgot about her 100 days until she was 102 days old and we hurried and threw a party together. So here are pictures from her 100 days.

The party girl in her party dress. (Thank you Billy & Judy! It was darling on her.) You see what Daddy's job was to get ready for the party- grill master.

Then we had a huge feast as you can see. Luckily we had some good friends that could join us even though it was very last minute. Hana lasted just long enough for pictures and then it was time for her to go to bed. We enjoyed her party for her though.

On a different note, Hana is getting bigger and bigger all the time and she wants to do whatever we are doing. When we eat, she follows the food. She wanted to drink what I was drinking too. I decided to let her try it out.

Not too successful but she's learning fast. My cue that the post is finished has arrived. Someone is crying for food.

Pool Time

Aunt Lauren sent some very cool hats which I will model for you. They are a bit big for me but I can still work them.

HAT #2

Thank you for the hats!! I know I look good. After modeling, I needed a short break so Mom and Dad decided it was time for the pool. Check out my first time in my new float. It's a bit big so Mom has to line the bottom with towels to take up some of the room. I love the pool. I chill out and relax while Mom or Dad pushes me around the pool. It's the best thing ever.

I tell you what. Mom and Dad certainly wear me out. This didn't happen on the same day, but I was so tired that I just couldn't wait for Mom to finish cooking dinner to go to bed. Instead I fell asleep on the counter. Guess she'll have to start cooking earlier.

Our Labor Day

For our Labor Day celebration, we had a cookout with some friends, Dainan and Romney. The food was delicious as evidenced by the pictures (hardly any left).  Unfortunately Mom forgot to take pictures until it was after dark so they aren't the best. (Mom's note: it gets dark in Hawaii by 7:30 so we aren't being irresponsible party-hard parents.) Thanks Dainan and Romney for an excellent meal and great company.  Also as a side note, I got my first lick of real food. Mom let me lick a strawberry and I thought it was delicious. I kept licking it and wanted to eat it. Too bad I don't have any teeth and I'm not old enough for it.

Why is Daddy making my cheeks chubby?

More than just me

Since Mom just posted photos of me last time, I decided that we needed some family photos. Thanks Uncle David for the prodding.  First though a picture of the blog co-editor- me.  I give Mom lots of ideas and moral support while she's composing her posts.

Now for a picture of my wonderful family. Aren't we cute?

Mom said that we look exactly like a couple of displaced DC girls with our black and white ensembles. I'm not sure what I think about that. Am I displaced DC or do I belong in Hawaii?  If you ask Grandma, I belong in WV.  Honestly, I have to say that my favorite place is the pool (another post to follow on that).  Good thing pools can be found everywhere.

We visited some friends the other day that I had never met.  I had so much fun, but I wore myself out. Good thing Dad was there to be my pillow.

Now we need to have a vote as to which of the following pictures of me is the cutest. I'll keep a tally. Please don't think I'm vain. This was Mom's idea and I'm just doing what she says.  (I personally think it's a ploy to help Mom with her picture taking skills, but I'll play along.)

That's it from here. Keep the comments and help coming. (Mom needs all the help she can get with blogging.)
